The Competition Authority was invited to contribute to various panels. The presentations carried out in this respect have recently been published at the ICN site relating to the meeting. In his presentation (formato PPT, 108KB) to the panel dealing with the Implementation of Competition Policy, the president of the Competition Authority concentrated on the alignment of competition policy instruments in Portugal with the best international practice. The other Competition Authority contribution (formato PPT, 142KB), was presented in combination with the Bundeskartellamt, the oldest competition agency in Europe, in the panel on international cooperation in the fight against cartels. The topic that was addressed related to international cooperation mechanisms on the matter of competition, in particular the creation of the Lusophone Competition Network and cooperation within the European Competition Network.
