Best Practices on Cooperation between EU National Competition Authorities in Merger Review

​On November 8, 2011, the European Competition Network (ECN) Directors General have adopted the document Best Practices on Cooperation between EU National Competition Authorities in Merger Review. The Best Practices are a joint work between the National Competition Authorities (NCAs) of the 27 Member-States of the European Union and by the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (DG COMP), within the EU Merger Working Group, and aim at fostering cooperation between NCAs in the European Union, for mergers that require clearance in several Member States ("multiple filing") and do not qualify for review by the Commission itself (the one-stop shop review).
