Margarida Matos Rosa

Graduated in Economy from the Université Catholique of Louvain (magna cum laude), holds a Master in Public and International Affairs (MPA) from Princeton University. For many years, her career was in the financial sector, working at J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas, UBS Bank and Santander Investment.
In 2007, she conducted research on public policies directed to the venture capital sector, at MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Directed the Collective Investment Management Supervision Department of the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). Before assuming the direction of this department, she was an advisor to the Board of the CMVM on regulatory and supervisory issues in the European and international financial markets.
On November 28, 2016, she was nominated as President of the Competition Authority, a position she has held ever since.
