The AdC (Portuguese Competition Authority) now offers STEP - Electronic Case Processing System, an electronic platform for the submission of documents in the context of anticompetitive practices’ investigations.

The new platform – STEP - aims to streamline stakeholders’ interaction with the AdC in antitrust proceedings, thereby achieving greater speed and ease of communication.

STEP is available on the AdC’s website at concorrencia.pt/en and allows documents to be sent electronically, in a simple and secure manner, spontaneously or in response to the AdC’s requests.

Similarly to the electronic systems already in place at the AdC for the management of merger notifications and for the submission of complaints, STEP allows for a more agile and digital communication with stakeholders in antitrust proceedings.  This platform will be available for cases opened from December 6, 2021.

Online session for new users

The AdC will organize an online tutorial session on the platform on January, 10 at 3 p.m. (Lisbon time). Additional information for users can be found on STEP’s homepage step.concorrencia.pt by clicking on the "Help" icon.
