The Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) confirms its participation in search and seizure operations conducted by the Portuguese Criminal Investigation Police (Polícia Judiciária), prompted by suspicions of corruption and collusion in public tenders for the procurement of aerial firefighting resources.
The AdC officials are taking part in the inspections at four business locations in the North, Greater Lisbon, and Algarve regions.
The cooperation between the AdC and the Polícia Judiciária stems from parallel investigations, both of which are subject to judicial secrecy.
The AdC’s investigation concerns suspected collusion between companies in public procurement procedures for the supply of aerial firefighting means.
