The UNCTAD - United Nations Conference on Trade and Development promotes technical cooperation projects in countries that seek to develop institutional capacities or consolidate an effective application of competition rules.

The AdC participates in UNCTAD activities in the field of competition policy, dedicated to countries with economies in transition, within the scope of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy (IGE). The AdC also participates in international technical cooperation projects and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding under which Lusophone Competition Network initiatives have been carried out.

The Competition Authority is a member of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy (IGE) that meets every year. These meetings have the purpose of discussing issues of common interest to Member-States and promoting an informal exchange of experiences and good practices, continuing the analysis of the provisions contained in The United Nations set of principles on competition (The UN Set) that form the basis of the IGE’s intergovernmental consultations.
